Join me in my outdoor adventures of camping and cooking outdoors. When I go camping it’s a cooking adventure in the great outdoors. Everything from the Rocky Mountain traditional burgers and hot dogs with s'mores for dessert to bon fire bone-in rib-eyes with a side of a fire charred baked potato. Or maybe an unconventional breakfast of fresh made crumpets or a deep-fried pork chop sandwich and beer battered onion rings for dinner. And yes, you can too. Intro for my Truck Camper Project
As my subscribers already know, I haven't posted any videos for months so I wanted to let you know that I had health issues last year but as of January everything is great. But what about the coming months? I reveal my NEW project for 2024. I bought a 1998 F150 4wd truck that I will be fixing and making a truck camper into the back! From there I will be back out on the road camping and cooking for you all again. I hope you will find interest in the coming weeks and months as I get this truck ready for some great camping trips!!

There’s only one issue with the tarp, for me. I always bring my dog and some places insist she’s tied up. It’s a pain with a lot of guy ropes.

it is a hell of an effort puttin' all that into place.... a decent tent however, would be less of a hassle, I reckon... let alone, if the wind was picking up... the cot-tent would be carried away, along with the tarp....
I need to post the footage of a big rain/wind blast that came through. It actually survived because of how I ended up angling the tarp upon final install.

Its bullshit that outsunny sells a cot tent that leaks and forces you to buy and set up a tarp to set up over it. Why bother just buy one that doesn't leak.

Point taken. I just wanted to make sure that it was well pointed for the flaws of the reel in that combo pack. The rod itself is still one of my favorites in certain applications.

That's a terrible design for a tent.
I have to agree, but it I went for it because of it's compact size, weight and the large opening when comparing to other cot tents at the time. Since then, another brand came out with something comparable yet better in respect to weatherproof.
@@TinCupChef I used a roof top tent for years and considered the Kamp-Rite, but now I'm looking at the Australian swag tents. I just wish they had a cot base.
